-Before attending the party, make sure you’re not going there feeling extremely hungry. Have a light snack about half an hour ahead so that you don’t eat the entire buffet! It can simply be a fruit.
-Try not to be tempted by all the choices presented. Pick the ones you know you won’t eat except during this time of year. And pick only one! Oh, and hold a smaller plate, that way you’ll select your favorites in smaller quantities.
-Before wrapping up, the holidays are not just about the food! It’s also about the tons of alcohol and drinks you consume within this period of time. Alcohol & cocktails are loaded with calories. As you can’t escape not holding a glass in your hand, choose lower calorie beverages such as spirit water or light drinks.
